Welcome to the website of Deenwood Baptist Church, and on behalf of the entire congregation, thanks for visiting. We hope that the information you find here will help you know who we are and what we’re about as a church. Of course, the best way to get to know us would be to visit us when we gather on Sundays to worship God together. So, please take this as an open invitation to come worship with us anytime.

What defines and unites us as a church aren’t our political views, our cultural backgrounds, our career choices, or our music preferences. Instead, we’re defined and united by our common belief that Jesus of Nazareth is both Savior and Lord. We’re a diverse group of people who are drawn together by our mutual love for and commitment to Jesus Christ.

God’s plan is to show His “glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations” (Ephesians 3:21). Hence, the purpose of our church is to bring glory to God. We do that as we sing and pray together, serve and love one another, hear and apply God’s Word in our lives, and go out into our community and world to demonstrate the love of God and declare the truth of God. We would love for you to join us in this incredible privilege of making God and His glory visible in the Waycross area. But whether it’s here or some other local church, our prayer is that you will find a strong group of Christians with whom you can serve Christ.
